| LOVES VAMPIRES - 4 1/2 stars* Changeling Dream is a cosy novel, it has a feel good factor that can’t be easily explained and certainly shouldn’t be under estimated. Sexy romance, heart warming characters and top-notch relationship development make for a fun, yet satisfying read and with its fairly low key fantasy elements the story has a big cross-over appeal for non-paranormal romance fans too. Summing up: it was great and I loved it! http://www.lovevampires.com/dhchangelingdream.html * In keeping with the LV site rules Changeling Dream is rated down half a star because it doesn’t have any vampires in it (sorry, it’s a site rule!) but that doesn’t change the fact that this is a near perfect example of shapeshifter romance, and one that shouldn’t fail to satisfy any romance fan. BITTEN BY BOOKS - 4/5 tombstones Despite the beginning, this novel is more about uplifting the spirit than arousing suspense. A man lost to his animal nature brought back to life by the intrigue of memory and the love of a woman who unknowingly loves both sides of his dual nature. But will Macleod realize what he is missing before he loses another good woman? Harper could end her series with this second book with the way it is written. But more Harper goodness is on its way and I cannot wait to see what direction it is headed in. Lead on Ms. Harper! http: //www.bittenbybooks.com/43245/changeling-dream-by-dani-harper/ TWO LIPS REVIEWS - 5/5 Changeling Dream by Dani Harper is the second in the Changeling series. I found you did not have to read the first in this series to understand this book. It is a complete stand alone which I particularly like. James has been hurt beyond what his human side could take. He decides to deal with it by going feral. His family loves him and wants him to be human again but he just has never been able to find his way back until now. Jillian has always had a guardian angel of sorts; her guardian wolf is white and comes to her in her dreams. When she discovers the very real wolf is actually a changeling named James she has a lot to process. But she is strong and brings out the human in James. Only together can they win against the evil that is coming. They have a strong love that just was beautiful. There is action adventure and a truly wonderful read. I cannot wait for the next book in the Changeling series to come out. I want to see where Ms Harper will take me next. http://www.twolipsreviews.com/content/index.php? option=com_content&task=view&id=6737&Itemid=36 THE FICTIONAL BOOKSHELF - 5/5 Oh my goodness it was a literary treat to read Changeling Dream, a werewolf romance, by Dani Harper. Dani Harper has been added to my favorite authors list! … I give this book 5 out of 5 red crows! ( I wish I could give it 6 out 5) http://thefictionalbookshelf.blogspot.com/2011/07/changeling-dream-by-dani-harper.html FANGS, WANDS & FAIRY DUST REVIEWS Dani’s werewolves are hot; more so than Jacob and friends from Twilight. When Dani’s changelings aren’t in wolf form they are Men. ... I like the equality Dani gives the females of all species in this series. One gender isn’t always the savior or the leader.... I thoroughly enjoyed the book and look forward to Changeling Dawn due out in January. The writing is quite sophisticated with nothing amateurish about it. The dialogue is great, not just expletives. Men relate to each other with more intelligence and emotion than is often the case in novels. The women also sound real. And, the dialogue between James and Jillian has some really nice episodes. I highly recommend Changeling Dream. http://fangswandsandfairydust.blogspot.com/2011/07/review-giveaway-changeling-dream-by.html ZIMBIO.COM - REVIEWS I am in love with this series! I could not put Changeling Dream by Dani Harper down. This book truly tugs on your emotions with tear-jerking, heartwarming, fearful and uplifting moments. Jillian is the type of character that will be in your mind for a long time to come. She's strong and you can't help but cheer her on. http://www.zimbio.com/Dani/articles/7Eund2asmoi/Review+Changeling+Dream+Dani+Harper Also posted on http://www.yousaytoo.com/review-changeling-dream-by-dani-harper/869795 PLACE OF READS - 5/5 As they work through the troubles of loving each other and the attempted murders of both Jillian and the changelings, you are taken for the ride of your life. Highly recommend, definitely worth a re-read. 5 out of 5 http://placeofreeds.blogspot.com/2011/07/changeling-dream-by-dani-harper.html PARANORMAL & ROMANTIC SUSPENSE REVIEWS – 4 stars I was really rooting for James and Jillian because they are both damaged lost souls and they really need each other. They are two halves of a whole and only they could heal one another. http://paranormalromanticsuspensereviews.blogspot.com/2011/07/changeling-dream-paperback. html BOOKS READ 'N' MAKEUP DONE “Changeling Dreams” is a book of healing. ... The journey you take with James is convincing and subtle. There are no quick fixes and that is what makes the journey so heartwarming. http://leanne109.blogspot.com/2011/07/tonis-review-of-changeling-dream-4.html ASHLEY'S BOOKSHELF - 5/5 This is a wonderful follow up to Changeling Moon! … Once again, an amazingly HOT lead male character in James. This author knows how to describe men…. I rate this a 5/5. I have found a new favorite author. http://ashleysbookshelf.blogspot.com/2011/07/changeling-dream-by-dani-harper.html MY TWO BLESSINGS Dani Harper has done an great job of creating a fresh, new paranormal series centered around werewolves. There is enough suspense, mystery and action to keep you engaged in the stories. I'm looking forward to Changeling Dawn when it comes out January 2012. If you like paranormal romances, I highly recommend reading the Changeling series. http://www.mytwoblessings.com/2011/07/changeling-moon-and-changeling-dream-by.html BURIED BY BOOKS This one surprised me by how much I liked it. It's sort of like a Rip Van Winkle werewolf story, which is unusual by itself. But it's also set in Canada, which I found a bit refreshing, too. Dani Harper has a strong voice, something I always appreciate. There's nothing worse than picking up a book that reads just like every other book out there, but thankfully that wasn't the case here. http://buriedbybooks.blogspot.com/2011/07/review-changeling-dream-by-dani-harper.html BOOK SAVVY BABE With a clan of strikingly attractive werewolves, a touch of magic, and deeply emotional characters, Changeling Dream is a really good read. http://www.booksavvybabe.com/posts/release-day-review-changeling-dream/ PARANORMAL HAVEN 4 out of 5 - The whole book was good, no dry moments. Changeling dream keeps you engaged the entire book.... The connection between Jillian and James is so magnetic, you can feel the energy flow between them every time they come near one another. http://www.paranormalhaven.com/2011/07/book-review-changleing-dream-by-dani.html I'M LOVING BOOKS James was a character I loved. I just felt for him. Despite some mistakes he makes, I couldn’t help but understand why he does what he does, and really root for him to pull it all together in the end. http://imlovingbooks.com/reviews/changeling-dream-dani-harper.html ROMANCE AROUND THE CORNER My favorite thing about these books is that the supernatural aspect is so perfectly incorporated to the story that it’s almost natural. It made me feel like werewolves were real and out and about living their lives among us. http://romance-around-the-corner.blogspot.com/2011/08/review-changeling-dream-by-dani- harper.html YOU GOTTA READ REVIEWS Changeling Dream is a wonderful book about two wounded people who find salvation in each other … James and Jillian fight their way to that happy ending and you the reader are right there to cheer them on. http: //yougottareadreviews.blogspot.com/2011/08/review-changeling-dream-by-dani-harper.html LADIES OF LEISURE LOVE BOOKS I loved this book as much as I loved the first one. Both books are so good I did not want them to end and can't wait for the next book in the series. Ms. Harper has now become one of my auto buy authors. http: //ladiesofleisurelovebooks.blogspot.com/2011/08/changeling-dream-by-dani-harper.html READING ROMANCE: Review for Barnes & Noble by Eloisa James “Like a Rolling Stone” In romance novels, an earlier marriage of either hero or heroine is frequently depicted as less than satisfactory. But in Changeling Dream James's deep love for his murdered wife, Evelyn, is the bedrock on which Jillian and James build their relationship – the bridge that James needs to cross back into human society. http://bnreview.barnesandnoble.com/t5/Reading-Romance/Like-a-Rolling-Stone/ba-p/5213 BENDING THE SPINE I love it when an author has a series that flows from one book to the next, but still moves forward with the story while introducing new characters. Dani Harper does just that in Changeling Dream … Something I truly enjoyed was that the author didn’t make one character stronger than the other, even though James is a changeling he needs Jillian just as much as she needs him. http://bendingthespine.blogspot. com/2011/06/review-changeling-dream-changeling.html RT REVIEWS (ROMANTIC TIMES) 4 stars ~ Harper returns to the friendly wolf shifters in Dunvegan with a story brimming with positive vibes. Combine that with a touch of paranormal, romance and suspense and you have a story that will appeal to all sorts of people. Harper’s changelings are among the best in the genre. [This book was previously e- published as Heart of the Winter Wolf.] http://www.rtbookreviews.com/book-review/changeling-dream BOOK LOONS I usually find sequels pale in comparison to the first book in the series, especially when the first is as excellent as Changeling Moon. But Dani Harper managed to create another howling masterpiece. I applaud her decision to have Jillian share a bond with James as changeling before she knew the man she was falling in love with was also her four-legged best friend and savior. I'm excited that Changeling Dream has plenty of other Macleods for readers to enjoy in sequels. If you love werewolf novels, Changeling Moon and Changeling Dream should be at the top of your to read list. http://www.bookloons.com/cgi- bin/Review.asp?bookid=13850 HARRIET KLAUSNER - 5/5 The second Changeling werewolf romance (see Changeling Moon) is a super thriller due to the strong lead couple, the obsessed dying yet predatory father and his indoctrinated son, and the Northern Albertan location. James’ duality is brilliantly depicted as the wolf has dominated the human essence for thirty years; while his defense mechanism of avoiding commitment in order to keep people he cares about safe enhances the drama. He makes the tale fresh. Harriet Klausner is the #1 reviewer on Amazon. Her reviews are also posted on a number of blogs including Alternative Worlds and The Merry Genre Go Round PUBLISHERS WEEKLY Harper's Changeling series gains steam with this contemplative follow-up to June's Changeling Moon. … Harper's evocative writing of a man who coexists with his wolf is by far the book's best and most romantic aspect. http://www.publishersweekly.com/978-0-7582-6516-6 YZHABELLA'S BOOKSHELF Readers will adore the people of Dunvegan and root for James and Jillian at every turn. In my recent review of Changeling Moon, I commented on Harper’s writing abilities and with this second installment in the Changeling Series, Dani does not disappoint. Once again, readers will encounter a realistic and endearing cast of characters from within a super exciting reading adventure that will leave you fully satisfied. http: //yzhabellasbookshelf.blogspot.com/2011/08/review-changeling-dream-by-dani-harper.html MOONLIGHT GLEAM’S BOOKSHELF - 5/5 Dani Harper should be commended for her wonderful imagination with this captivating series, having one story flow smoothly to the next. I can definitely say that I am looking forward to the next installment of this series, Changeling Dawn, releasing January 2012. I recommend this novel to those who enjoy Paranormal Romance and shapeshifter tales. http://www.moonlightgleam.com/2011/07/changeling-dream-by-dani- harper.html PARANORMAL ADDICTS ~ 4 out of 5 “Changeling Dreams” is a book of healing. The injury is very old and it takes most of the book to fix it. The story is slow and steady, but in a good way. The healing is believable. There is no wonder drug or epic mind shattering revelation and WHAM James is all better. The journey you take with James is convincing and subtle. There are no quick fixes and that is what makes the journey so heartwarming ….. This storyline is what makes “Changeling Dream” different from your normal fast paced, sex filled paranormal read. Ms. Harper is dealing with feelings and emotions on a different level. She wrote a believable plot and was consistent and meticulous in regards to James’ healing. I enjoyed that I was able to tag along with him. Yes, I wanted the action and the sex, but after reading the whole story I understood that it was not what James and Jillian needed. In the end, I applaud Ms. Harper for staying true to James. I will be waiting patiently for the next installment, “Changeling Dawn” coming out January 2012. http://paranormaladdicts.com/node/31 |
